For the past few weeks, there has been speculation that food shortages will be coming to America. A quick browsing on the internet suggests that Foreign Countries, Bill Gates, and the US Government are taking over the land. Now, people have been saying this for years, and I have personally not seen this come into fruition. Does this mean that famine will never come to America? I cannot say.
The one thing I can advise is to be prepared for anything and everything.
Financial advisors usually inform their clients to have at least six months of money set aside for an emergency. And with this advice, I also believe not only do you need six months of worth of funds but six months’ worth of food and water.
Some tips to save food, water, and money:
- Put away 100$ Monthly
- Buy canned foods (canned meat, tuna, veggies) and extras during weekly shopping trips
- Buy emergency food packages
- Buy 5-gallon water tanks
- Buy grain (rice, beans, etc.)
- Learn to grow your own food supply
- Learn to can food
Folks remember, that even the nicest of neighbors will be willing to murder and steal if it means they will have a full belly. This is the cold hard truth of human maliciousness. Be sure to keep your supplies away from the public eye and make it hard to reach.
Remember to always trust in the Lord with all your heart and He will give you the endurance the assurance to keep moving forward.
